A local bee keeper keeps hives in our top field in order to expand the colony, with new hives arriving whenever he needs a new permanent or temporary location.

We have planted around 1800 trees as part of a carbon capture project.

All the hot water and underfloor heating throughout the property is powered by the ground source heat loops in the mill pond. The spring water flowing through the hillside keeps the pond at 12 degrees C all year round.

Environmentally friendly cleaning using refillable products – using plant based non toxic cleaning products where ever possible.

Plant based vegan refillable toiletries provided for guests.

Towel washing only as required.

Re-using, re-filling and recycling where ever we can.
